Aquaculture, South Korea – FPIK Undip collaborates in the academic and research fields. One of the FPIK Undip lecturers, Dicky Harwanto, Ph.D, had the opportunity to be a visiting researcher at the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory, Dongguk University, Korea, on 13-24 November 2023. As a result of this activity, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the College of Medicine Science, Dongguk University and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) Undip. In the MoA, there are several collaboration agreements between the two institutions, namely collaboration in the academic and scientific activities such as visiting lecturers, lecturer exchange and mobility, and potential cooperation in research.
Dongguk University is one of the best private universities in Korea. This university was founded in 1906 in Seoul, South Korea. Dongguk University also operates campuses in Peckham, Gyeongju, and Los Angeles, United States. The university operates two affiliated hospitals of Western medicine, and four hospitals of Oriental medicine, an umbrella term that includes the study of traditional Korean medicine.

Apart from Dongguk University, FPIK Undip also signed a collaboration with the College of Fisheries Sciences, Pukyong National University (PKNU). PKNU is a national university in Busan, South Korea, which was formed in 1996 as a union of two universities, namely Pusan National University of Fisheries, which was founded in 1926, and Pusan National University of Technology, which was founded in 1946. Collaboration Agreement with the College of Fisheries Science, as an implementation of the MoU between Universitas Diponegoro and Pukyong National University. Undip, together with 17 national universities in Indonesia and Pukyong National University are also members of the Public University Academic Network (PUAN) which collaborates in academic exchange and other academic activities.

It is hoped that this collaboration with Dongguk University and Pukyong National University will develop in various fields to realize UNDIP’s vision, to become an Excellent Research University.
